Library Visit

We took a stroll through the streets of Cavan and ended up in the library. The children tip toed in to the library and chose books to read. One girl found a book called "Best Friends". Ms Brady read it to everyone because it was friendship week.

This little boy found some information about Kenya. We had been learning about Kenya in SESE.

This little girl discovered that our sound of the week "ea" could be found in the word seaside.

This little girl chose this book to read as it was Friendship week this week.

Winner of The Green Schools Art Competition

Well done to our fantastic artist on winning the Green Schools Art Competition. We learnt how to save water and how to prevent wasting water at school and at home. We also learnt why it is important to keep our water clean.

Making robots

We studied a number of pictures of robots and had a discussion on the shapes that we could see.  We then used white boards to plan how we were going to make our own robots. When we were happy with our plan we created our robots using chalk. Some children even created robots on peg boards

Becoming Historians

Digging through the sand to find clues on who we were about to learn about. We pieced all the clues together and discovered that they all linked up to St. Brigid.
